About me

Please note I am currently on maternity leave until summer 2020

Hi I'm Helen Cousins and I am Professional Organiser and Declutter Consultant based in Winchester, Hampshire.

I help people who feel that the lack of organisation or sheer amount of clutter in their homes is getting in the way of how they want to live their lives.

I help my clients to create more time, energy and space in their homes and lives by eliminating clutter once and for all. Together we put in place simple to manage organisational systems, leaving the client with clarity and freedom to start focussing on the fun or important stuff in life.

I can help you create calm from chaos, let go of items that no longer serve you and allocate a home for everything in your house.

I don't believe the key to organisation lies in more storage or complicated organisational systems. I believe that the key to creating a happy and clutter free home lies in simple storage solutions, easy to follow processes and honestly looking at at your possessions with a fresh perspective.

"AP Winchester
"After the birth of our second child we had so many old baby clothes that were too small, that the children's wardrobes were overflowing and impossible to keep tidy. I was also finding it really hard to let go of them. Helen helped tidy up the children's cupboards. We choose just a few special outfits to keep hold and donated the rest to a children's charity shop. It feels amazing to have everything organised plus we helped raise money for charity."
BG Winchester
"I was feeling totally overwhelmed by unpacking following my house move, however Helen was soon made light work of the unpacking. Everything now has a proper home and is easy to find and what's more I've learnt the art of organising and storing from her so am now able to do it myself."

How I can help you

Working together we will identify your problem areas, visualise the outcome you want to achieve and put an action plan together to make it happen.

Then we will tackle the clutter together, exploring how you feel about it and identifying items that you can let go off. Once we have streamlined then the organisational process can begin.

My ethos
reduce , reuse, recycle, repurpose

I work with my clients to ensure that a little as possible goes into landfill. It's really important to me to reduce any impact on the environment. During a session we will reduce the amount of clutter in the home and reeduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill. We will aim to reuse what we can, whether it's using shoe boxes for storage or repurposing a piece of furniture, I will suggest reuse before we even think about buying new storage. And we will recycle and repurpose whatever we can, I have links with local charity shops and can advice you on which shops will be able to make use of your donated items.

My approach
I understand that it can be really hard sometimes to let go of possessions, particularly those that were a gift or still seem to have some life left in them. I will happily work at your pace and can suggest new ways of thinking about your relationships with your possessions. Ultimately it will up up to you to decide what to keep and what to let go of, but I can help you identify the items that have served their purpose in your life, support your decisions and ensure you feel happy with your choices.

My my services are totally confidential, non judgemental and practical.
